WWE Championship #1 Contender’s Match
Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz
The Undertaker vs. Triple H
John Cena & Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens & Elias
Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose vs. Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre
Ronda Rousey & The Bella Twins vs. The Riott Squad

At house shows over the weekend, WWE continues to push Becky Lynch as a heel. The story at the shows is that Charlotte wrestles Carmella in a title rematch where she is the babyface and gets cheered but Becky Lynch runs down and costs Charlotte the match, and the fans immediately turn on Charlotte and cheer Lynch. Asuka then runs down for the save, leading to a tag team match between the four.

-- On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, the hosts speculated on what brand Rey Mysterio will join when he officially returns to WWE next month. In the past, WWE liked him on Smackdown as it was on network TV and company officials felt he was seen by a wider Hispanic audience. Appearing on Smackdown may be in the cards again due to the fact that Andrade Cien Almas is there and WWE could be thinking of a feud between the two.

Brock Lesnar is now off to UFC and he has already dropped weight looking to face Daniel Cormier in early 2019. While WWE gave him an incredible deal that extended his stay after WrestleMania, they evidently weren't willing to do the same to keep him around for the rest of the year. Most believe it is virtually guaranteed that Brock will be back with WWE at some point since at age 41, his time in UFC is coming to an end.

-- With Lesnar putting himself back into the USADA testing pool in anticipation of a UFC comeback, he has already gotten three surprise drug tests. Lesnar is said to already be hard into fight training and the idea appears to be that he will hover around 270 lbs so that he won't have to cut a lot of weight to get down to 265 lbs before his fight.

Braun Strowman wants to face Roman Reigns in the ring alone

Well, that escalated quickly.

During a heated Universal Championship main event pitting new titleholder Roman Reigns against challenger Finn Bálor — the first Superstar to hold that title — Braun Strowman emerged with his Money in the Bank contract in tow, making it clear that whoever won the match would, indeed, “get these hands.”

The Big Dog won with a ring-shaking Spear, capitalizing on the chaos, but when The Monster Among Men attempted to cash in for his guaranteed title opportunity against the battle-weary champion, Reigns’ Shield brothers, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, emerged to overpower the opportunistic behemoth and lay him out with a thunderous Triple Powerbomb through the announce desk.

Strowman still has his contract, but he also has a massive score to settle with The Big Dog. Via Twitter, The Monster Among Men said he wants Reigns to confront him in the middle of the ring on Raw, without his Shield brothers. Will Reigns agree to a face-to-face meeting with Mr. Monster in the Bank?

Ronda Rousey carries the torch

After Stephanie McMahon tried to take credit for the Women’s Evolution, diminishing the accomplishments of the Superstars, new Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey retaliated by attacking the Raw Commissioner and locking her in the same Armbar that put away Alexa Bliss the previous night at SummerSlam.

Although it remains to be seen if The Baddest Woman on the Planet will face repercussions for her actions, it’s clear that she’s ready to carry the division on her back and be a true fighting champion. Who will be next to step to Rowdy Ronda? Moreover, when will Little Miss Bliss be up to the task of facing Rousey once again in her guaranteed rematch?

Baron Corbin settles into his new position

After incurring the wrath of Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, Stephanie McMahon was, as one might expect, fairly critical of General Manager Kurt Angle, giving The Olympic Hero an unexpected vacation that puts Baron Corbin in charge of the red brand as its Acting General Manager.

This Monday, The Lone Wolf will run a full episode of Raw for the first time ever. How will he deal with The Shield, The Baddest Woman on the Planet, his nemesis Finn Bálor and the Superstar who defeated him this past Monday night, Bobby Lashley?

The Revival go 2-0 against the Raw Tag Team Champions

The B-Team might have retained their titles in their SummerSlam Kickoff Match against The Revival, but based on their back-to-back singles match defeats to Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson, the so-called “Top Guys” have their number.

Did those one-on-one victories bring The Revival closer to another opportunity against the Raw Tag Team Champions?

Live Sunday evening show from Rochester N.Y.

Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss & Alicia Fox
Crowd was hot for Sasha in the opener. Alexa had good heat. Bayley was worked over pretty well. Went to tag Sasha but Banks was knocked off apron. Bayley then surprised Bliss with a rollup for the win.

Finn Balor vs. Baron Corbin
Finn got a decent reaction. Lots of lady screams. Baron got his share of boos. Quick back and forth action with Finn winning by small package. Baron grabbed a microphone. Corbin stated since he is Raw GM now he has tons of power and said he could even restart the match. With the match restarted, Corbin hit the End of Days on Finn and picked up a tainted victory.

Lights get turned down as Ring crew set up Elias in the ring. Crowd was eating Elias up, then booing once Elias turned on the crowd. Bobby Lashley comes out. Gets the crowd ready to sing along. Elias says he going to sing "Knockin on Heaven's door" which Elias knocked out of the park. He sounded great! Lashley was pumping crowd up, when Elias sneak attacked him. Lashley turned the tables and hit a nasty stalling suplex. Great segment.

Raw Tag Title Triple Threat Match
The B-Team vs. The Revival vs. Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt
Crowd chanted Delete alot and got phones out for Bray during their entrance. Revival got little reaction, while B-Team got the crowd going with their Go-Go-Go chants. Standard triple threat with Matt being in the match quite a bit despite recent injury rumors. The B-Team retains, snatching victory away from Bray at the last second. Bray seemed legitimately bummed. Hardy consoled him with a hug to the applause of the crowd.

Tyler Breeze vs. Akam w/ Rezar
Quick match. Breeze got a superkick in but fell to a powerslam in short order.

Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre
Dolph and Drew are out first to a course of boos. Seth and Dean both had two of the biggest pops of the night with Dean's being the loudest. Awesome tag match. Words don't do it justice. Started out with Seth and Dolph. Seth started hot then got cut off and worked over. Dean got the hot tag and tore the place down. Dean got wore down a little and Seth got the hot tag this time. Referee lost control with action everywhere. Dean got a nasty Dirty Deeds and Seth hit the Curb Stomp on Dolph for the win. Seth made a young female fan's night by talking to her. She was on the verge of tears as she walked by me.

Intermission

8-Man Tag Match
No Way Jose, Heath Slater, Rhyno and Zack Ryder vs. The Ascention, Mike Bennett and Curt Hawkins
Pretty basic match as people still were filing back to their seats. Lots of ECW chants of Rhyno. Ryder worked alot of the babyface side of the match. Eventual breakdown of the match saw one superstar after another get hit by big move after big move with No Way Jose hitting a big Knockout Punch on Curt Hawkins for the victory.

Jinder Mahal w/ Sunil Singh vs. Bobby Roode
Bobby wore a Local Rochester team Jersey under his robe. Had "Roode" sowed on back of his Jersey so he seemed legit in his butt kissing. Mahal had his usual heat. Decent back and forth action with Roode getting the victory with the Glorious DDT. Jinder seemed poised to win with outside interference from his minion Sunil, but was outsmarted by Bobby in the end.

6-Women Tag Match
The Riott Squad vs Ember Moon & The Bella Twins
Crowd was sitting on their hands for Riott Squad's entrance. Ember got a OK reaction. Place came unglued for the surprise Bella Twins. Brie worked a good portion of the match doing her Brie Mode gimmick and stealing her Hubby's Yes Kicks. Nicki win by hitting Rack Attack 2.0 on Liv Morgan for the win. Bella's had the crowd the entire time.

WWE Universal Title Match
Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman
Crowd was 60/40 in favor of Roman. Braun got a good amount of cheers. Short back and forth match. Roman hit a couple of Superman Punches. Action spilled outside. Braun hit Roman good with the ring steps. The Referee counted to 10. Crowd BOO'd that ending. Back inside the ring, Braun hit his Running Powerslam on Roman and then hopped outside. Braun pulled a table out from under the ring. Braun set the table against the corner in the ring. Roman speared Braun through the table. Roman celebrated for a bit. Braun got up eventually and acted angry the match turned out that way.

- Jack Gallagher, TJ Perkins, & Mustafa Ali def. Ariya Daivari, Tony Nese & Drew Gulak: Gulak goes to work on Perkins then tags in Nese. Nese hits some kicks and knees then locks Perkins in a leg-scissors across the torso. Ali tags in and hits a running hurricanrana then a series of kicks. - Chris Jericho (c) vs. Roman Reigns: Jericho's U.S. Title is on the line in this one and Owens is at ringside. After some competitive brawling in the opening minutes, Reigns sets up for a Superman punch. Jericho blocks it with a dropkick, then goes for a Codebreaker. Reigns blocks the Codebreaker and hits a powerbomb on Jericho for a two count. Reigns follows up with a Superman punch, then Kevin Owens interferes and beats down Reigns. Owens and Jericho put Reigns in the cage, but Reigns fights out and puts Owens in it instead. Reigns locks the door with Owens inside, then he Superman punches Jericho.
- Back from commercial, Jericho helps Owens out of the shark cage. An interviewer approaches them and informs them that Mick Foley has made Owen's Title Match against Reigns at Royal Rumble a No DQ match.
- Nia Jax def. Miss Lynn: Nia gets the win in a very short squash match against a jobber. After the match, Nia cuts a promo saying she dedicated her win to Sasha Banks. Sasha's music hits and she comes out. Sasha hits the thing and knocks Nia outside, then hits the flying double knees off the apron onto Nia.
- Rich Swann def. Noam Dar: Alicia Fox is at ringside with Dar. Dar tries to use Alicia Fox as a shield at ringside, but he still gets a boot to the face from Swann. Neville gets in the ring, but then apparently has a change of heart and he climbs back out to ringside. Swann hits a suicide dive on Neville to the outside. Swann tries to bring Neville into the ring, but Neville rolls away and retreats up the ramp.
- Cedric Alexander is doing an interview backstage, then Noam Dar and Alicia Fox interrupt. Cedric shoves down Noam, and Alicia says he's just jealous.
- Goldberg emerges from his dressing room and he's out next. Goldberg is bleeding from his head as he steps into the ring. Goldberg trips over his words a couple times, but eventually he gets it right and begins discussing the Royal Rumble match on Sunday. With blood running down his face, he says he will stop at nothing to obtain the WWE Universal Championship. Paul Heyman interrupts and introduces Brock Lesnar. Heyman explains to Goldberg that he will be beaten and conquered on Sunday at the Rumble. Goldberg interrupts and asks if Lesnar is going to come down to the ring and get it on, or is he going to "sit there like a dumbass." Lesnar walks down to ringside, and hops up on the apron then gets in the ring. They stare each other down, then The Undertaker's music hits. The lights go out, and when they come back on, The Undertaker is standing between Lesnar and Goldbreg in the ring. The lights all turn blue, and RAW goes off the air as the three of them stare each other down.

Vince McMahon has been very disappointed with the lack of fan interest from both WWE 205 Live and the RAW cruiserweight division. This is the reason why the company is looking to add more Superstars with name value to the division, which they have already started with the additions of Neville and Tajiri.
Neville was not originally planned to be apart of the division, however those plans changed after 205 Live didn’t gain much fan interest after it got going. Austin Aries will be the next addition to the active cruisweight roster once he is healed from his orbital fracture that has him sidelined from in-ring competition.
Speaking of Neville, he’s been praised for his work with WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann since making his arrival to 205 Live.

WWE posted the following statement on their website regarding the death of Jimmy Snuka:

WWE is saddened to learn that WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka has passed away.
Snuka is regarded by many as the pioneer of high-flying offense because of his Superfly Splash from the top turnbuckle. His dive off the top of the steel cage onto Don Muraco at Madison Square Garden as hundreds of flash bulbs went off will forever live as one of the most memorable moments in WWE history.
WWE extends its condolences to Snuka’s family, friends and fans.
